The Wallet home screen in the vID app, listing verified passes and credentials

The Wallet · Portable credentials

Verified once.Carried everywhere.

The Wallet turns a one-time verification into a lifetime asset. Credentials live on the holder’s device — cryptographically sealed, instantly shareable, and verifiable by anyone.

What lives in the wallet.

Any record a person is asked to prove, again and again, becomes a credential they hold once — issued by the organization that verified it.

Sharing is a presentation, not a file cabinet.

Holders share exactly the credential they choose, with a link that verifies it and then disappears.

  1. 01

    Open the credential

The wallet is the vID home screen. Each credential shows its status, issuer, subject fields, and attachments — PDFs, documents, and images travel with it.

  2. 02

    Generate a share

One tap creates a QR code or link. Cortex generates a cryptographically random token and stores only its HMAC-SHA256 hash — the usable secret never touches our servers.

  3. 03

    Recipient verifies

The recipient opens a public page with the credential’s status, fields, and files. No account, no app install, no phone call to the issuer.

  4. 04

    The link expires

Shares expire after 15 minutes. The credential stays valid; the window to view it closes, and a new share takes one tap.

A lifecycle you can audit.

Pending, active, revoked

Every credential moves through an explicit lifecycle. Revocation is instant and visible to anyone holding a share link from that moment on.

Issuer-signed

Credentials carry their issuer, subject, and issuance date under the W3C Verifiable Credential data model — portable proof, not a database row.

Attachments included

Supporting files — certificates, reports, identification documents — are bound to the credential itself, so evidence and claim travel together.
